My Story
My journey into the health and wellness world began when I was just a teenager. For as long as I could remember, I had struggled with unexplained, chronic GI issues, and also many hormonal symptoms for several years. However, after I came to realize the power of food to nourish and support my body, my health dramatically improved, and in more ways than I had expected. I began to view nutrition as an essential and foundational “piece of the puzzle” for optimal health and wellbeing, and have been passionate about it ever since.
My journey didn’t end there though, as I eventually understood that many aspects of our lifestyles are equally relevant to our health, including sleep, movement, stress management, light exposure, toxin exposure, and even community, connection, and emotional resilience. As I’ve come across many “bumps” and obstacles along the way, I’ve also learned that shifting your mindset is often key to moving forward, and that the journey isn’t about perfection in every step you take, but about continually learning, growing, and evolving.
“Ultimately, when we detach from and remove the things in our lives that drag us down and make us ill, and add in things to our lives that nourish and build us up, healing can occur.”
My Hope for You……
If you are reading this, then I know how frustrated you must feel in your own health journey right now. Maybe, like 1 in 2 Americans, you were diagnosed with a chronic disease, or are struggling with chronic “mystery symptoms” for which there seems to be no answer (“random” fatigue, nausea, bloating, headaches, joint pain, poor sleep, etc.). Maybe you’ve been told that your disease and/or symptoms are “all in your head,” “just part of getting old,” “just part of being a woman,” “to be expected given your genetics and/or family history,” or, “something you’ll just have to live with for the rest of your life.” Maybe you’re tired of “band-aid solutions,” and want to explore other avenues to healing. Or, maybe you’ve already tried countless supplements, “holistic” remedies, and restrictive and/or fad diets, without much to show for it. If any of this describes you, then I want you to know that healing is absolutely possible, and I would be honored to guide you on your journey towards better health.
I continue to be amazed at how simple changes to our daily habits can lead to such profound changes in our health and wellbeing - even for seemingly “complex” cases. The truth is that our bodies and minds are wonderfully made, and we are capable of so much more than we realize and give credit to. Ultimately, when we detach from and remove the things in our lives that drag us down and make us ill, and add in things to our lives that nourish and build us up, healing can occur. The “impossible” can be made possible.
